  • Liquid helium continuous level gauge

Level gauge LEVMET LM4-02 monitors the current level of liquid helium flooded in the storage dewar or cryostat. The continuous level gauge has linear scale and secures accuracy 10% in level monitoring. The sensor block of the level gauge is made of superconducting NbTi wire placed within perforated thin stainless steel tube. The monitoring of the sensor block takes place in periodical operation mode with period 1 or 16 minutes, as well as manually on need. The testing current heats that part of superconducting wire, which is not immersed in liquid helium. As a result, the overall resistance of wire changes in accordance with the vessel filling. The NbTi wire of the gauge sensor reduces the influence of the magnetic field. The lowest indication of the continuous level gauge activates the operation of the visual and acoustic alarms. The level gauge LEVMET LM4-01 is compatible with PC via interface RS-232.
