LEVMET NL3-02 Print
  • Liquid nitrogen discrete level gauge

Liquid nitrogen discrete level gauge LEVMET NL3-02 monitors the current level of liquid nitrogen flooded in the storage dewar or cryostat. The gauge displays from 4 to 8 filling states indicated on the front panel. The low, almost empty, and empty indications of the level gauge activate the operation of the visual and acoustic alarms. The visual alarm is simply a flash indication of the lowest values on the display panel, while the maximum and normal filling indications are continuous. The sensor block of the discrete level gauge consists of a number of calibrated coal resistors TVO-0.125 placed within perforated thin stainless steel tube. The monitoring of the sensor block takes place in periodical operation mode with period 1 or 8 minutes, as well as manually on need. The testing current heats those resistors that are not immersed in liquid nitrogen. Thus, the increased resistance of a resistor indicates that it is located above the liquid nitrogen level. The level gauge LEVMET NL3-02 is compatible with PC via interface RS-232.
