- Cryogen-free optical cryostat for electrical conductivity measurements
in temperature region 4.2 – 273 K
The CryoFree304 is a optical cryostat for electrical conductivity measurements of various materials within temperature region 4.2 – 273 K. The creation of low temperature in the sample room of the CryoFree304 is performed by the use of cryocooler with heat load 0.5 W at 4.2 K
The samples attached to the sample holder are top loading. The vertical sample room is filled by helium gas to secure good heat exchange with second stage (”cold head”) of the cryocooler. The sample temperature is regulated by tSTAT310xc temperature controller that stabilizes the sample temperature with accuracy 0.1 K.
The design of the CryoFree304 cryostat allows long time continuous operation without liquid helium (10000 hours between services) and rapid change of sample during the cryocooler operation.
