  • Cryogen-free cryostat for measurements in external magnetic field
    in temperature region 4,2 – 273 K

The CryoFree204 is a cryostat for physical investigations of materials within temperature region 4.2 – 273 K. The creation of low temperature in the sample room is performed by the use of the cryocooler with heat load 0.5 W at 4.2 K. The samples attached to the sample holder are top loading. The sample room is filled by helium gas to secure good heat exchange with the second stage (”cold head”) of the cryocooler. The cylindrical tail of the cryostat (length 175 mm, diameter 30 mm) can be placed between the poles of the magnet.

The sample temperature is regulated by tSTAT310xc temperature controller that stabilizes the temperature with accuracy 0.1 K. The design of the CryoFree204 cryostat allows long time continuous operation without liquid helium (10000 hours between services) and rapid change of sample during the cryocooler operation. The CryoFree204 equipped by cryocooler with higher heat load (1 W at 4.2 K) makes possible temperatures less than 4.2 K.
